The Northern Lakes Fire Protection District is a rapidly growing area and is located in the panhandle of North Idaho between Washington and Montana. In addition to the natural beauty, waterfront beaches and trails, there are numerous lakes within 50 miles providing beaches for swimming and boat ramps for water access. Local, state and federal parks are nearby for camping and hiking, and five major winter ski areas are within 60 miles. Spokane Washington, which is 38 miles west of Hayden, offers additional cultural amenities such as a symphony orchestra, Broadway productions and award winning live theater. |
