About Us
Northern Lakes Fire Protection District provides an All Hazard Response to the greater Hayden and Rathdrum areas of Kootenai County, Idaho. We are a combination department comprised of 30 full time firefighter/EMTs and 15 volunteers.
Northern Lakes Fire typically staffs 2 engines and 2 ambulances that respond to approximately 3,200 calls for service annually. Our district is comprised of approximately 106 square miles of lakes, mountains, prairies, and growing cities with more than 34,000 residents.
