Welcome to the Northern Lakes Fire Protection District’s Fire Prevention Bureau Page.  The Bureau is responsible for Fire Inspections, Plan Reviews, Fire Investigations, Code Enforcement, Public Information and Public Education.

Since 2008 there has been a steady increase in the number of new structures constructed in the Northern Lakes Fire District. A priority of the Prevention Bureau is to ensure public safety by requiring buildings are constructed meeting the conditions of the adopted International Fire and Building Codes.

We spend many hours every year out in the communities teaching fire education and prevention to civic groups, school groups and community groups.  Deputy Fire Marshal Chris Larson is at the forefront of establishing training programs for every age group in our communities.  Last year the Fire District visited with over 6,500 people that equated to nearly 500 hours of fire prevention education.
